LAS CRUCES - The City of Las Cruces and Visit Las Cruces received 18 honors in the 47th Annual Telly Awards, city officials announced Wednesday.

According to the city, the awards included two gold, eight silver and eight bronze recognitions spanning multiple video and tourism categories.

The Telly Awards recognize video and television content across broadcast, online and social media platforms. Organizers said this year’s competition received more than 13,000 entries from around the world.

The city credited Technical Operations Manager Adrian Guzman, Media Production Specialist Nathaniel Bitting, Digital Content Specialist Cherish Pena and media production interns Celso Acosta and Eduardo Sandoval for producing content in partnership with multiple city departments.

Visit Las Cruces Marketing Manager Lorena Lozano and her team also received recognition for tourism-focused productions, according to the city.

Gold Telly winners included β€œThe Fire Family | Las Cruces Fire Department” in the workplace culture category and β€œServe Your Community | Join LCPD” in the recruitment category.

Silver-winning projects included the Bus Art Stop Series, β€œBridging the Badge,” β€œNeighborhood Leadership Academy” and several tourism-related productions tied to Visit Las Cruces.

Bronze-winning entries included β€œSouthwest Spirit,” β€œShared Soil,” β€œForged in Service” and β€œAmador Live,” among others.

City officials said judges evaluate entries individually rather than directly comparing them against one another. Awards are grouped into gold, silver and bronze performance levels based on scoring.
