The June 24 event will let prospective coaches meet with school representatives and ask about openings for the upcoming school year.

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces Public Schools will host a coaches fair June 24 for people interested in coaching middle school athletics in the district.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 24, in Conference Rooms A/B at the Dr. Karen M. Trujillo Administration Complex, 505 S. Main St.

School administrators and representatives from LCPS schools will be available to meet with prospective coaches, answer questions about coaching responsibilities and expectations and discuss current or anticipated opportunities for the upcoming school year.

The fair is designed to connect community members with schools seeking people who want to support student athletes on and off the field.

People interested in coaching middle school sports are encouraged to attend and speak directly with school representatives about positions that may be available throughout the district.
